I have kicked Instagram to the curb but still want a quick place to post a photo or video as the spirit moves me. I am going to try this solution for a while and see how it works. Alternatively I have sorted photos on my google drive and linked them on my photography page.
But here are the latest:
Wake up to winter
First snowstorm dropped almost a foot of snow. Time to start packing up.
Drove over to the desert to see Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS. Could only see it in long exposure photos though.
The northern lights were faint but again the long exposure photos saved the effort.
Beauty and the Beast.
This might be the end of spring last rainy days. Looks like a warm dry summer starts this week.

Winter begins:
Hopefully the wakeup view next fall:
1/2″ of rain yesterday and more today. But a pretty break from the weather at this morning.
I have spent so much time getting the cabin ready for winter wet and wind, I forget the insides are coming along too. In order; living room/kitchen, bath stairway and first floor bedroom in the distance.
As of 9/16. Seeing if slow and steady really does win the race.
3 days of 100°+ days. Slowed progress for sure.
Subfloor is screwed and glued to the joists. Still need to do some trimming to get everything as square as possible
I placed all the joists on to the foundation
The cabin is here, at least the floor.

Not a big wildfire season so far but there is still some smoke in the air.
The Deer have been visiting a lot this summer. This one came by at a particularly photogenic moment.
