My time in Boise has been good. This is a nice city. I am still in trailer maintenance mode so my days were filled with chores. Shellee and Ken showed me around the nightlife though. To outsiders, I am sure it can be a bit thin in the offerings. I think there is plenty to do and strangers are engaging…

Hells Canyon Overlook
I finally have enough bandwidth to upload this Time Lapse. It was taken on July 11, 2016 from the Hell’s Canyon Overlook on the Oregon side. It was cold and cloudy when I got there. This is the view I had as the clouds cleared out.
Tequila Sunrise
This from the morning I left Seattle…. Last Day in Seattle – Sunrise The Eagles don’t like people linking to their videos I guess. Let’s see how long this stays up.
Bright Side of the Road
Crossed the border into Idaho yesterday afternoon. Long Drive but very pretty. I had never been to the East side of Oregon before. The Northeast corner to be specific. I am early for my Boise plans so I almost decided to keep driving to the Nevada Border. Another couple of hours south. Looking at the map the only color along…
Six Months in a Leaky Boat
I expected that the summer would be in full swing over here on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountain range. Especially as dry as it has been in Seattle so much earlier than usual this year. Plus temperatures should be approaching the triple digits under the scorching high desert sun. Instead I have crawled into my winter sleeping bag…
A Very Very Fine House

Good Ride Cowboy, Good Ride
Up early this morning but not as bad as the 2:30 wake ups I have been experiencing. The rains had stopped and the low humidity of eastern Washington had everything pretty dry by the time I crawled out. It was weird being inside the trailer for the rain. It sounded like a varmint of some sort was scampering along the…
I got the green light baby.
It finally got here. 18 years and 1 month after I arrived I Seattle, I finally got my act together and left Seattle today. Took about 6 months of planning and preparation but it went quickly, with these past few weeks a blur of dump runs, house projects, trailer preparation, dump/Goodwill runs, penny on the dollar sales and finishing touches/repairs…
still packing
July 1st is just a few hours away and I am still looking at piles of stuff. Not as big as before, at least. And mostly dump run material Just as well. Too late to reserve a campsite on July 4th weekend plus there are still some trailer tweeks to finish up before I can call it my summer home.…
I Can’t Wait
Instead of coming to a blank blog page, I figured I should write something to let the visitors know that this is a live site. Will start adding real posts when I get underway, sometime in July.
